ais CHALLENGES MYTHS ABOUT Immigrant Survivors
FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH
During Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October 2022, The Alliance for Immigrant Survivors created a series of Tweets to challenge several myths around immigration and the realities facing immigrant survivors in order to educate the public, engage our followers and supporters, and most importantly, offer policy solutions that can provide immigrant survivors relief and true pathways to safety.
Below are links to each Twitter thread in our series along with some of the graphics we created to help challenge these myths and offer real solutions. Keep in mind this list represents myths and misinformation — click through to each series to learn more about the facts and our solutions. You are encouraged to like and share these Tweets and are welcome to use the graphics as part of your own public education campaigns and presentations.
